The Financial Summary page generates a full P&L statement for the selected period — no accountant needed to see exactly where every dollar came from and where it went.
Six headline metrics — gross revenue, tax collected, net revenue, total expenses, net income, and outstanding accounts receivable are all visible above the report in large, colour-coded cards.
Revenue by client — every income source is listed with its dollar amount and percentage share of total revenue, so you know which clients drive the most value.

The 6-Month Trend chart shows income and expenses as paired bars for each month — making seasonal patterns, growth trends, and cost spikes immediately visible without any analysis work.

Rolling window — the chart always shows the most recent six months, auto-advancing each month so the view stays current without any manual configuration.

The Charts & Analytics module is the most flexible reporting tool in the app — mix and match any of four chart views with four rendering styles, and slice the data with interactive filter chips.
Four chart views — Expenses by Category, Income by Client, Income vs Expenses, and Monthly Trend. Each view reconfigures the entire chart and its associated filter options automatically.
Four chart types — switch between Pie, Donut, Bar, and Line charts for any view. The type that best communicates the pattern for your audience is always one click away.
Interactive filter chips — toggle individual categories or clients on and off using the chip panel. The chart and summary metrics update live with every toggle, with Select All / Clear All shortcuts.
Period-aware — the Charts page respects the same global period selector as every other screen, so the data always matches what you see on the Dashboard and Reports pages.

The Expenses by Category view renders your spending breakdown as a pie, donut, bar, or line chart — giving you a visual distribution of costs that a table alone cannot communicate.
Colour-coded categories — each expense category has a consistent colour across all charts, tables, and the dashboard — so Payroll is always the same shade whether you're reading a bar or a pie.
Proportion at a glance — the pie and donut charts make it instantly obvious when one category is dominating spending, such as payroll consuming over 40% of operating costs.
Filterable — deselect any category chip to remove it from the chart and recalculate the totals for the remaining categories. Useful for isolating controllable costs from fixed overheads.
Switch chart type freely — the same category data renders as a pie for presentations, a bar for precise comparison, or a line for spotting month-to-month category trends.

A Complete Record of Every Change
The Audit Log records every create, update, delete, and status-change event in the application — who did it, when, and what changed. It is your compliance paper trail, built automatically.
Every action logged — creating or deleting an expense, raising an invoice, editing a client, changing a user role, and marking a payment received are all captured with no manual effort required.
Who and when — every entry records the username, role, and exact timestamp of the user who performed the action, making it straightforward to investigate any discrepancy.
Immutable trail — audit entries are write-only. They cannot be edited or deleted from within the application, preserving an honest record even if the underlying data is later changed.
